- Participated in the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research – “Scheme on Early Language and Literacy Development in Chinese and English Language of Young Children”, it optimizes school-based English language courses in order to improve teachers’ English teaching skills and to develop children’s interest, attitude and ability in learning English.
- To foster children’s multi-faceted intelligence, our school cooperates with Professor Chu Kai Wah, Faculty of Education at The University of Hong Kong and his team on “E Fun Learning” jointly launched with the “Multiple-Intelligences Course”. The course combines themes of nature, music, body, picture, self, mathematics, life, characters and text into reading through a “shared reading” approach using gamification educatin and an e-learning platform. English story books are read by foreign teachers, allowing children to experience the joy of share reading and to develop curiosity attitude in learning. In addition to studying at school, we also arrange children to borrow one English book per day from school, parents are encouraged to read books with their children for 15 mintues per day so as to develop good English reading habits and to promote parent-child relationships.
- The Environmental Protection Department “Kids Greenway Achievement, Use Less, Waste Less, and the Biodiversity Plan”: educate children to develop good attitudes and proper habits, critically, learn to cherish things and reduce wastage and put the habit into practice in daily life .
- Our school is elected as the participant of “C-for- [email protected]”Project”, conducted by University of Hong Kong, The Education University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Christian Service and HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre, they provide full support to our school. The project aims to build cultural response and create pleasant learning environment, helping Non-Chinese speaking children to learn Chinese in school, at home and in community, boost their Chinese language abilities and proceed a smooth primary school life interface and to achieve social inclusion.
